He has a very unique style, and he’s using it very well. Hill House was one of the best things I’ve seen lately, and he used his style really well on that show, blending horror and drama very well. Not that the storyline in this movie is the same as Hill House, but the narrative reminded me of it. He also tends to work with the same actors, which gives his projects a connected, shared universe feel. Plus, Kate Siegel is his wife, which explains why she’s in almost everything he does
