Can we start talking about Directors and Filmmakers like they're professional athletes? And Martin's coming up to the plate with his three-and-a-half-hour long Killers of the Flower Moon and- oh my God! He just gets absolutely sacked by Miyazaki's Boy and the Heron and David Fincher's The Killer. Three industry titans that have been around for a good long while. Even though both Martin and Hayao came decades before the true Fincher, I still believe that he has earned his name right up there with the other two. We'll be seeing some new and frankly some wild plays here from Michael Mann, Bradley Cooper, and Yorgos Lathimos. A biopic from Mann feels so out of nowhere, but I really think that it could create the waves he needs right now for his Heat 2 play he has coming up. Blackhat was very controversial and he needs this win right now if he wants to move forward with the Heat sequel. Rookie Bradley Cooper has his Maestro backed by Spielberg, Scorsese, and Todd Phillips who infamously produced Diary of a Wimpy Kid: Roderick Rules. Apparently, Steve told Bradley that he needed to direct Maestro after being in a long editing session for Cooper's A Star is Born. I really can't wait to see how that shapes out. Finally, we have Yorgos with his psychosexual drama, Poor Things. I cannot wait to see Emma Stone in this role. Can't wait. After all that we- oh. It seems we've had a fight break out on the field between Miyazaki and Martin and, let me tell you, these two eighty-year-olds are going at it.
