Pardonnez cet a priori, mais à la minute où j'ai vu Lacheau, j'ai flairé que ce film allait être une bouse. Et dès que j'ai vu Reem Kherici, j'en ai eu la confirmation. L'idée de base du film était pourtant bonne, bien que déjà exploitée, notamment dans Les pistolets en plastique, et j'espérais que l'œuvre irait au bout de son concept. Hélas, non. Le scénario s'embourbe dans son propre bousin de minute en minute à une allure désolante. On s'ennuie, on baille, on écarquille parfois les yeux face au jeu misérable de certains acteurs tant on n'ose y croire. Ajoutons à cela le fait que, d'un point de vue technique, le problème du film est résolu dans les trente premières minutes : le reste de l'œuvre - une heure ! - devient alors du remplissage, il n'existe nul autre mot pour décrire ce néant scénaristique, ce trou béant qui avale à lui seul tout l'intérêt du film (s'il y en avait au départ ; mieux vaut préciser que ledit intérêt résidait dans le pitch et nulle-part ailleurs). C'est un désastre dont on peinerait à décrire la teneur tant il y aurait de choses à dire. Tout est bâclé. C'est profondément mauvais et décevant. J'attendais beaucoup de ce film : eh, bien, comme souvent, je n'aurais pas dû. J'ajouterais que Mauvaise pioche se veut comédie, mais, pour rappel (notamment à l'adresse des scénaristes), une comédie, c'est censé provoquer le rire, ce qui n'est absolument pas le cas de ce catastrophique spectacle qui noie son public dans le mauvais goût et l'humour de bas étage. Au secours. Please forgive my bias, but the very moment I saw Lacheau, I smelled that this film was going to be a stinker. And as soon as I saw Reem Kherici, I knew it for sure. The premise of the film was promising, though it had been done before, notably in Les pistolets en plastique, and I was hoping the film would deliver on its concept. Alas, it didn’t. The screenplay gets bogged down in its own mess minute by minute at a disheartening pace. You get bored, you yawn, and sometimes you can’t believe your eyes at the abysmal acting of certain actors. In addition, from a technical standpoint, the film’s conflict is completely resolved within the first thirty minutes: what follows—an entire hour!—becomes nothing but filler; there is simply no other word to describe this narrative void, this gaping hole that single-handedly swallows up all the film’s appeal (if there ever was any to begin with; it’s worth noting that said interest lay solely in the pitch and nowhere else). It’s a disaster whose scope is hard to describe, given just how much there is to say. Everything is poorly done. It’s profoundly bad and disappointing. I had high hopes for this film, but, as is often the case, I shouldn’t have. I’d add that Mauvaise pioche is supposed to be a comedy, but, just as a reminder (especially for the screenwriters), a comedy is supposed to make people laugh—which is absolutely not the case with this disastrous spectacle that floods its audience with bad taste and lowbrow humor.
