LUPIN THE IIIRD: The Movie - The Immortal Bloodline2025

So I didn’t know that this movie was part of a series starting back in 2014, but luckily there was a summary at the beginning, so I wasn’t totally lost, but I do still feel like I was missing something. Despite my name, This is only my fourth Lupin film, including Mystery of Mamo, which I guess this movie and this series is a prequel to. So I’ll probably watch that in the near future.  A pretty good time. Not a lot to it and does somewhat feel like an episode of a tv show. But the overall idea is really cool and even interesting in execution, but it feels a little half-baked. It’s definitely too rushed and wastes a cool new villain and the return of another.  I love all these characters too much to hate this, and I probably would’ve enjoyed it more if I had seen the other movies in the series.  A lot of the animation was really well done. Super exaggerated and exciting. Really cool action (duh). Some wide shots that feature a lot of characters used these pretty poor cg models that took me out of the movie.  Really not bad and could be greatly improved with context. It was really cool to see it in the theatre. I’ll see how I feel after seeing Mamo and the other movies.
