Jason and the Argonauts1963

I believe I saw this once as a kid. Or maybe I’m just thinking of that one scene in Spy Kids 2. Any which way, I am surprised by how fun this was. A lot of older movies like this can be bloated trudging messes, but this never overstayed its welcome. Do I really understand why all this stuff is happening, and was there any real payoff at all? Maybe not, but it was still a very entertaining time. Such cool effects, and the fight with the skeletons was especially impressive. It just really feels like there’s supposed to be a sequel, and there never was. I think if we had some payoff of the story even in another film, I would rate it higher, but still, for what it is, I really enjoyed it and will definitely watch it again in the future.
