wow, what a treat to the eyes this was. the moody landscapes, the candlelit rooms, the rain-soaked drama, pure gothic goodness. fassbender and mia are both great on their own, though i’ll admit their chemistry felt a bit... bleak in some spots? but then out of nowhere michael would do something like hold onto that letter as jane’s about to leave for her aunt and my heart did a little somersault. he looks so painfully good in this, it’s honestly rude. i caught myself grinning like an idiot more than once. and honestly, dear universe, if you're listening, i too would like an estranged relative to leave me a surprise inheritance. pls and thank you.
