I might be adding the review today, but I originally saw this movie when I was a kid in the 90s. It’s been one of my favorites, my entire life. From the Peter Pan fantasy to the ensemble cast, this is my all-time favorite adventure film.  Not only is a fun, but you can watch it over and over. There are little things to discover every time you see it and you come to realize just how in depth the production design designers. It’s intricate and all of it is real. There is light CG used throughout, but it’s from its early days and used in the way that blends it with all of the physical seamlessly. Robin Williams is so damn good. The father son story at the core is so relatable as a kid from the 90s. That sense of sacrifice, but it’s just capitalism and consumerism. It shows how the noble businessman father is often missing what matters the most. That story still rings through today.  I can understand why. Of the Peter Pan story may find a reason to fall the narrative, but as a standalone movie that uses Peter Pan as inspiration, it is the best modern adaptation we have pulling Peter Pan into present day. Finally, I have to praise the cast again. Everyone is funny, from Dustin Hoffman to Bob Hoskins, to the  unforgettable Julia Roberts and Dame Maggie Smith, they are so lovable.
