While I was really impressed with the practical effects, I didn’t love this movie overall. I get that it’s probably intentional, but it didn’t really live up to its own premise and idea.  It does feel ahead of its time in some ways, and I really would like to see this idea in a post-Cube/Saw world. I feel my rating for this might go up after having the context of the other films, so we’ll see how this plays on a rewatch.  Now I’m hellbound.
