Baby driver and John wick influences are surely there. The music plus action and the gorgeous fictional world that has got a group which make their own rules just like how it was in John wick’s innovative world. There are some creatively shot and thought action sequences and also there are some action sequences that are done and dusted formulaic which unfortunately comes in the later part of the film. In second half I would have really wanted the action to be as creative as the first half’s 3 action set pieces which was set in bowling alley, Hospital and the library one (Not the last one). The second half relies heavily on the style more than the choreography of the action which takes out the creativity aspect of it. But I would like to say music choice is brilliant here. The music in the diner scene in the end was superb and went so well with the stylised action choreography. I won’t deny that it’s surely an enjoyable film even with some super formulaic DONE BEFORE touches towards the end. Of course who doesn’t like neon aesthetic and beautiful shots and most importantly the lovely Karen Gillan in the lead.
