1966 and the technical brilliance achieved by them was nothing short of a miracle. Truly impressive racing sequences and usage of mounted cameras in 1966? HOLY SHIT that was innovative for that time. Not only that, the shot where the mounted cameras on the F1 car pans from left to right made me lose my mind because it’s bloody 1966 and they could achieve that? Unbelievable.  The parallels drawn between characters of different statures & the tragedy driven nature of the sport were executed exceptionally well. This is exactly what made this movie unpredictable in an otherwise predictable sports genre.  F1 The Movie (2025) turned me into a F1 follower, 70 episodes of DRIVE TO SURVIVE Netflix documentary series and real races of 2025 season turned me into an avid F1 fan. Now this classic 1966 film has made sure I will forever be grateful to this magnificent sport and respect the drivers even more.
