Godzilla Minus One2023

Very sincere in a few spots which made me think it might be very camp but then there are MCU-like jokes in the middle of what is supposed to be the devastating power of a gigantic tragedy. I felt a little bit lost trying (trying hard) to figure out what I'm supposed to be feeling scene to scene. The main character's arc, if extremely predictable, has its moments to shine, even though they almost ruin a very clever scene by immediately explaining it through a flashback. For me it was constantly building something up to later tear it down.
