Gladiator II2024

No doubt Ridley has gotten lazy.  My dad was the same way with his job as he got older.  Nothing you can do about it This doesn’t affect my score, but you guys need to watch more movies if this is your definition of Denzel “chewing up scenes” or whatever fad phrase we’re using.  He did great, but it seemed like exactly what he was supposed to do.  His character had swagger.  Training Day? Now that’s scene chewing if I’ve ever seen it.  Here’s how I look at it.  Vampires Kiss is the standard.  That being said, this performance falls well below the “scene chewing” standard. That doesn’t take away from the performance though.  He did great and would be a a good, albeit safe, pick for supporting actor in 2024.  Did PTA write the battle speech where Paul Mescal says a variation of we’re alive because we’re not dead and we’re not dead because we’re alive?
