Emergency • (2025) Kangana Ranaut starter Emergency works for me. Actually, it's not just about the Emergency itself, but also the events leading up to it, why it happened, and how it affected the country at the time. I’m not sure about the historical accuracy, but cinematically, it’s well made. The dialogues are effective, the background score works well, and the songs are decent, though not exceptional. The performances, however, are excellent. Alongside Kangana, there are big names like Anupam Kher, Shreyas Talpade, the late Satish Kaushik, and others, all fitting well into their characters. There are some aspects I didn’t like, such as characters singing songs during important events or in parliament scenes, but it doesn’t detract too much from the film overall. For me, it’s an above-average film, at least from a cinematic perspective.
