Dogman2023

I’ll watch dogs all day and the dogs in this movie were all very good boys and girls.  Each one deserves 10 out of 10 treats.  I loved the element of mystery’s heavy presence in this film.  For example, what was dog man charged with? Didn’t his dogs do the crimes? Are we assuming a prosecutor will prove to a jury that dog man told the dogs to rob rich people and they did?  And, let’s go back to dog boy. I loved how the film challenges us to wonder whether dog boy actually liked living outside in a dog pen. Because why else wouldn’t dog boy just pull at the wire that withered away by one tiny gunshot to open a hole?  Ya ok maybe the wire was too strong for dog boy, a child who walks on all fours and thus has different muscle memory from us. But, but why doesn’t dog boy just dig under the wires? He could use the dog bowls to hide his work but he could do it in hours not days.  So ya. The only conclusion is Luc Besson wants us to think dog boy enjoyed his cage.
