In her mid-thirties, Maya lives in a Munich shared apartment with the spirited Sema — an optician and influencer — and tries to live in the moment, as carefree as possible. However, she is eventually confronted by her mother’s hoarding problem — a situation her father is unfortunately no help with. Her balancing act between jobs as a mobile nail technician and a freelance theater makeup artist begins to falter. To top it all off, she falls for the flamboyant star of the current theater production: Philip, a charming but somewhat flighty dancer. Fortunately, Maya is surrounded by a group of clever, humorous women from diverse backgrounds who support her with wit and wisdom — for only by looking back can one find the tailwind needed to take flight.
