Crimes of the Future2022

The detailing of human evolution that has taken a different path in this dystopian world blew my mind to the core. Technologically advanced world that talks about new harmone in the bloodstream, new organ that is growing inside has unknown functions, pain has disappeared from the world - as the dialogue mentions “Creation of art is often associated with pain and pain is associated with sleep”, Converting that new organ that is developing inside to some sort of a theatrical show through surgery - indeed surgery has become a new sex in this world and creating art out of anarchy. I laughed at one dialogue where Viggo says “I am not used to old sex”. There’s even a machine called Eatware which corrects your functions of eating. As expected governing bodies are against some of the freaks inside this world who are not evolving as humans usually do. I mean this is such a reality thing that government want to decide for everybody and we can’t decide for ourselves what to do with our own body. David Cronenberg is seriously insane. The writing and pacing can’t get crispier than this and performances by Viggo is outstanding with the ever loving Kristen and Lea. This also gets the dark humor right. #MyShit certified for sure. As one of the dialogue mentions these 3 words, this is indeed Metaphorically, emotionally, artistically brilliant Sci-Fi cinema  SPOILERS BELOW  Philosophically this comes very close to how “Replicants” were deemed to be in the epic sci fi world of Blade runner. But there’s only one major difference which is, the identity crisis (That makes developed replicants question themselves in blade runner) is not created by anybody in David’s world, it’s just within them and few others are against the fact that this is happening to certain people and want to eliminate them. This thing is something that always makes me dig such films more and want to rewatch. The ending is so so good and makes you wonder a lot about the character that you just watched for one hour 40 minutes.
