It’s messy, silly, very familiar but in the end it becomes very relatable when it comes to confused emotions of today’s generation. After ages I liked Bollywood Rom-com that is not too goofy, not too slapstick-y. Yes, first half had some repetitive themes where I said “This is super typical Luv Ranjan writing and a setup”  but intentions of these scenes hits reality in the second half. Sometimes basic, familiar emotions becomes relatable and beautiful than doing something over the top. This film comes under that category. Pritam’s score and songs lift the film to the top. He’s master/legend in all kinds of genre but rom-com is his adda. He’s the KING of this genre. Brilliant set of varied songs plus beautiful BGM. Kriti is the real deal. So bloody natural performance. Coming to Shahid, there are shades of JWM’s Aditya in his character here, which I really liked. Rashmika was decent. Nothing great.  Messy, silly and familiar is all true but it’s also very feel-good, matured and a comfort watch in the end which I always expect in such films. It’s not trying to be an award winning film or a masterpiece. It’s low-key easy breezy rom-com. 3 stars in short but extra 0.5 the film earned because of Pritam’s BGM and songs that did the heavy lifting in most of the Scenes.
