Mon premier Gaspar Noé… et sans aucun doute aussi mon dernier. Dès les premières minutes de Climax, un ennui mortel s’abat sur nous. Le film ne provoque pas, et il secoue encore moins. Si vous vous attendiez à être choqué par cette œuvre, passez votre chemin. Climax, c’est cela : une heure et demi de rien, en dépit du pitch, qui aurait pu donner une histoire magistrale. Mais, non. Visionner Climax, c’est se noyer dans l’ennui d’un film largement oubliable, rempli de personnages unidimensionnels et dénués de vie. J'attendais beaucoup de ce film; hélas, je suis sortie de son visionnage vidée et déçue. De bonnes idées de réalisation, cela dit. My first experience with Gaspar Noé's work... and undoubtedly my last. From the very first minutes of Climax, a profound sense of boredom descends upon the viewer. The film does not provoke, and it certainly does not disturb. If you were expecting to be shaken by this film, you may wish to consider viewing something else. Climax is nothing more than an hour and a half of emptiness, in spite of the premise, which held the potential for a compelling screenplay. Regrettably, the film falls short. Climax is a largely unmemorable film, packed with one-dimensional, flat characters. I expected a lot from this film; much to my dismay, by the end of it I felt both drained and underwhelmed. Good artitistic ideas, however.
