“Permission from the Crown to put a scoundrel down? I've earned it. I'm licenced to kill, you couldn't get a learner's permit.” Now we have reached the Bond films that I’ve known and seen before. The Craig era. It is very clear that this is a course correction for the franchise after the insane and cartoonish Die Another Day.  But for something that is supposed to be a grounded and serious take on James Bond, the opening chase is a little over the top. But the movie definitely gets better as it goes on.   On the whole, the movie is good, but it’s definitely not my favorite. There’s something missing, and maybe I just prefer a Bond film with a little bit more fun. Also, they are clearly trying to make the films a connected series over simply being a series of misadventures, which is something we haven’t seen since the Connery films.  I feel like there still is a world where this story could be told even better. Maybe I just need to watch this one more.  Craig is the perfect Bond for these films, and I can’t wait to see where he goes next. James Bond Ranked
