Brahmāstra Part One: Shiva2022

To put this in short, it’s seriously a movie that is called as “Theme park” but in theatre, which is actually a statement put by legendary Martin Scorsese to marvel movies. Brahmastra is exactly that and even better than some marvel duds of 2022 like Thor : Love and thunder and Dr Strange. This is a huge statement coming from MCU fan like me. Brahmastra was exactly that enjoyable theme park where the sole purpose is to give family audience that thrill/experience and forget their real life sorrows or anything for some hours. Ayan’s ultimate achievement is to just blow my mind visually/Action set pieces and give IMAX 3D experience that we rarely see in an Indian films. Topping with Pritam da’s ultimate music/score that became a constant thumping element of every big event scenes. Coming to love story angle, which many called as “unnecessary” thing here was actually necessary according to me for a story as it dealt with “Love being a greater weapon out of all”. Yes, Ayan could have handled the dialogues better (Also Alia was weak) but concept demanded a love story angle. So I don’t get this “Unnecessary” statements from few people. If the script didn’t demanded that, then I would have agreed that it was unnecessary. Anyways Ayan has given good enough build up for part 2 and I really hope he continues to blow my mind in sequels too but with a better writing. Even better theme park would take this to an extraordinary level. Hopefully that happens 🙏 PS : SRK and Nagarjun’s cameo were impactful. Especially SRK’s is my favourite. I want a prequel with just his character (Not swades lol) but proper Brahmastra prequel would be great with SRK’s character as it was very interesting.
