We let this happen to our country and we knew better. We always knew. All we could do is work to be better. Now the rights to grow, to change are being taken away from us. It is shocking to me that the people who lived during these times are empowering someone to commit even more heinous acts than could ever be previously imagined. We are watching the downfall of a nation. The great experiment failed.  I would love to talk about this movie. I have now watched every tom cruise movie. A journey I started in February. And with this film we have reached the end. I wish I could say something about Tom’s performance but all I could think about was its message. A message we knew and ignored. Those in power only care about the rights of the citizens when it suits them. And is happy to see any number of its citizens die to suit its needs.  We are watching the country being turned into a police state before our very eyes. And while some citizens are complicit the rest are left to sit with their heads in their hands wondering “what happened to my country?”  God I hope we can fix this.
