If we have overlooked any sizable groups of lovers, we apologize. ---THE PRODUCERS A movie that balances between self-aware and sincere on the edge of the finest knife in the world. Wonderfully silly and terribly entertaining. A movie so positive that you could never get tired of watching it. In a word, fun.  A stupendous cast with Frank Gorshin being the real standout for me this time. He gets the Riddler perfectly and has an absolutely infectious energy in which you can’t help but feel giddy while watching him work. The three-piece suit costume is gorgeous and stands out even in a movie as beautiful as this. And I truly mean beautiful. Colors so vibrant that they feel three-dimensional.  I watched this movie so many times as a kid. Way more than I ever watched the show, and it was always a favorite. It’s something that lives in its own cartoonish world and can’t really be compared to anything else. It holds up tremendously, but there was never any doubt of that.
