Most intriguing part of this movie was it broke many stereotypes in the most unexpected (Disturbing) ways. Meaning rarely seen in Indian cinema. That one thing this kept me hooked till the end and duration rarely bothered me.  Sets up as a complicated father-son relationship that slowly delves deeper into Ranvijay’s impulsive (read psychopath) mind. Complex Father-son relationship is like an inciting incident here. Slowly it takes a backseat and outcome of that relationship is what this film is about completely. I really loved the non-linear narration in the first half. Always enjoy it if it’s done well. The only thing that disappointed me in this movie was Action. People have hyped interval block fight sequence but according to me it was poorly executed with terrible VFX. Seems like this is not Vanga’s comfort zone. It’s in second half where drama takes a front seat, and seems to be his comfort zone yet breaking the stereotypes again and shock factor is multiplied. At one sequence I was like “This is never done in india before”. Reaction like this is what really made this an engaging character study that seriously not relatable nor it’s intended to be relatable. People need to understand this and not force upon their preconceived notions on it.  Ranbir is TERRIFIC, FLAWLESS and SENSATIONAL. So are many supporting characters including Anil. An actor I was worried about after the trailer, Rashmika, performed superbly overall, especially when she’s in any scene. Though screentime is less, she was her best in her career so far according to me. Gave back to her trolls (Including me😁).  In short unapologetically original, brutal, dark and most importantly not a relatable character study. “not relatable” is a keyword here to not get triggered. Watch it and leave that character there just like how Ranbir would have left after playing it on set 🙏
