An Action Hero2022

One biggest strength of this movie is its originality and writing that is not usual coming from Hindi film industry. The originality plus adrenaline rush with humour that plot adds makes this an entertaining watch overall. But I want to point out my negatives too which was the editing during action sequences - Just when I thought “Finally an action movie that might be having that punch I want”, mashed up editing and average Sound designing of those action sequences ruined some of it for me. On paper almost all the action set pieces seems like it’s brilliantly written but I wanted more polished execution on screen. That kitchen sequence I so badly wanted it to be better than how it was executed and edited. Though it was a fun sequence. So many of the sequences like this had a same impact on me -  “Fun but wanted more”. Anyways my favourite scene was the chase sequence which was perfectly executed. That seemed like it had everything I wanted. At least the overall action was realistic in nature if not great execution in terms of editing and all. Nonetheless a good fun watch that is unlike anything from Hindi film industry in 2022 or other years. Extra points for the guy who played Masood Abraham Katkar and the whole thing about Indian media. HILARIOUS.  Overall original writing. Though it has some familiar thriller tropes, it never gets trapped into it cous addition of different conflicts, clever humour and spoof-y commentary on Indian media really makes this one of a kind to come out of hindi industry. I might have been bit harsh when it comes to pointing out editing issues during some action sequences but overall I was very very happy with this.
