A Quiet Place Part II2021

John krasinski - I bow down to this guy literally.  I mean how the heck he managed to make a sequel so original. This is absolutely master stroke of a sequel that I have ever seen. Throwing in not only human and family connections but also throwing in massive set pieces time and again to keep my anxiety level to 100% throughout. “Massive” here means there are parallel set pieces that happens multiple times in the film simultaneously. One in the middle and then other in the climax sequence. Another great thing is the growth of the characters from 1st part to this. They were unaware of the weakness of the creature in the 1st part until the very end and in the second they self-skilled to save themselves and use creatures’ weaknesses to their advantage. On top of that, John doesn’t let go off emotional factor. There’s an arc for that too. That’s the beauty of this film that he could manage both the aspects.  This is a genre that easily could have been formulaic  but John managed to make it breathtakingly original overall. This is also some sort of a coming off age story in post-apocalyptic world for the kids in the film and it’s absolutely brilliant to see it unfold slowly.  Anxiety inducing yet goosebumpy masterpiece.
