A Minecraft Movie2025

I can’t tell if this movie is stupid or brilliant (it’s stupid) Really interesting. It feels like they wanted to make a classic jack black type movie but unfortunately they had to make a Minecraft movie. This movie feels very confused. Or maybe I’m just confused. After the intro it feels like a classic indie movie and takes a little bit of time establishing its characters. I’m honestly surprised how much breathing room it gives. But unfortunately it’s not enough all gets drowned out by the Minecraft of it all. I honestly wish jack black was the main character. He’s the only character I really cared about but that’s probably just because he’s jack black. Jason mamoa was funny and the kid seemed cool. The sister and the realtor serve absolutely no purpose to “the plot” which feels like a check list being ticked off by a corporate overlord.  This movie is pretty entertaining still but it’s honestly so bad. Like on pretty much every level. It’s sometimes funny and that’s the only thing it has going for it.  If we’re going to put jack black in everything can he play the lead in just one more movie please.
