Build your own timeline

Last week I drew the MCU as a transit map and a lot of you asked for other franchises. I made twenty-six. More on those below. The new part is you can draw your own.

How it works

Hit New timeline on the timelines page. You get a blank canvas with a dashed box. Put a film or a show in it. Hover it for the handles: add before or after, branch off, remove. Drag covers around to reorder them or move them to another line. Click a branch's name to rename it or pick where it rejoins the main line. Films and shows can go on the same map.

Hit Publish when it's done. It gets its own page and shows up under Members on the timelines page, where people can upvote it. Until then it's a draft only you can see.

The twenty-six

Same idea as the MCU one. The main story on one line in the order it happens. Reboots, side worlds and alternate timelines on their own lines, forking off where they split. Switches for the stuff you might skip.

Some good ones:

Alien starts with Prometheus and ends with Resurrection. Flip the Predator switch and the AVP films get their own line.
Halloween is four timelines coming off one night in 1978.
The Conjuring in story order is The Nun, Annabelle: Creation, The Nun II, Annabelle, then The Conjuring.
Planet of the Apes is a loop. Escape is 1973, Conquest is 1991, the 1968 film is set in 3978.
Gundam is the Universal Century with every other calendar behind a switch, and Turn A at the end where they all merge.
Fast & Furious puts Tokyo Drift after 6, where it belongs.

The rest: Star Wars, Star Trek, DC, Dune, Middle-earth, Game of Thrones, Terminator, Predator, Godzilla, Karate Kid, Saw, Insidious, Texas Chainsaw, Friday the 13th, Dragon Ball, Evangelion, Fate, Code Geass, Ghost in the Shell and Digimon.

Tap a cover to mark it seen. Hover it for the year and a note on where it sits. Where the order is disputed, the note says what I went with.
